Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé is back with new murder mystery thriller and I think this is my favourite of hers yet.

We start twisted with understanding how the five button heirs came to be. Five genius’s set to inherit a whole estate. Each raised to be prodigies in their own field and with extraordinary talents. 

It’s thrilling and twisty and I read it in just a few sittings. The plot is pacy and there are some twists you might guess, I guarantee there’s others you won’t. 

Our heirs are quite the mixed bag. There’s quite a range of personalities in there and there’s some you’ll enjoy for others, I’m pretty sure there’s someone for everyone there. 

I do love how throughout all Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé’s work we have queer normative worlds. Nothing is questioned, their queerness is not their only defining feature. It makes for beautiful reading.
