February New Releases

Spring is almost here and it’s time to find something great to curl up with. Get the kettle on, the blankets prepped and snuggle up with a new book. Sounds perfect, right? It’s definitely the perfect time to pick up a book being the National Year of Reading too, we’re ready to Go All In!

Bitter Honey – Lola Akinmade Åkerström. Literary. Paperback. Author of In Every Mirror She’s Black, comes a novel of mothers, daughters and finding your own way in life. Publish date: 05/02.

Love In Exile – Shon Faye. Non-Fiction, Memoir. Paperback. Author of The Transgender Issue explores love and lovelessness. Publish date: 05/02.

Model Home – Rivers Solomon. Horror. Paperback. After their parents death, three siblings unfurl family secrets and much worse in their childhood home. Publish date: 05/02.

Fire In Every Direction – Tareq Baconi. Non-Fiction, Memoir. A queer coming of age memoir, featuring the Palestinian authors displacement from Haifa. Hardback. Publish date: 12/02.

Big Chief – Jon Hickey. Literary. Paperback. It’s all a game of politics for Anishinaabe law grad Mitch and Tribal President Mack. Publish date: 12/02.

Fundamentally – Nussaibah Younis. Literary. Paperback. Nadia takes a job in rehabilitating radicalised ISIS brides and the result is brilliant. Publish date: 12/02.

A Hymn to Life – Gisèle Pelicot. Non-Fiction, Memoir. Hardback. A woman and book that I hope needs no introduction. Waiving her right to anonymity, she wants shame to change sides. Publish date: 17/02.

Saltswept – Katalina Watt. Fantasy. Hardback. Based on Southeast Asian mythology, a pirate and a farmer leads a gang of misfits. Publish date: 26/02.
