While I’m working my way through my physical TBR this year, I still have a fair way to go. Looking at what I have left to read, there are some that have sat unread for quite some time. And it’s certainly not because I don’t want to read them! You know how it is.
Have a read through some of the big hitters I have left on my physical TBR and let me know if we match on any!
The Song of Achilles – Madeline Miller. The Greek tragedy that took BookTok by storm. I bought it at the same time that I bought Circe, way before my time on Bookstagram. I read Circe first and wasn’t enamoured (sorry!).
The Kite Runner – Khaled Hosseini. A modern literary classic, I’m not sure I’m ready to have my heart broken!
Homegoing – Yaa Gyasi. I actually found Transcendant Kingdom, Gyasi’s second, first and really enjoyed it. There’s absolutely no reason I haven’t read this.
Dune – Frank Herbert. I’m one of those people who want to read the book first so I ordered a copy when the first film came out and then saw the size of it.. soon!
Children of Blood and Bone – Tomi Adeyemi. Another BookTok favourite that I promise to read soon. YA fantasy with African mythology woven in, it’s right up my street.
Have you got any that have sat on your shelf for far too long?
Time is running out to enter my reading challenge, check it out here! Read nine books from nine prompts over the first six months of the year and be entered into a draw to win a bundle of bookish goodies.
