Review:

There are often books we say are necessary reading and I truly believe Homebody is one of them.

Homebody is a non-fiction graphic novel in which author Theo Parish takes us on their journey to feel at home in their body.

It’s not only beautifully illustrated, but it’s brilliantly educational, talking openly about the steps they’ve taken to be where they are today.

There’s not too much more that I can say on this – I don’t review memoirs in the same way because I’m not reviewing the content in the same way I would a story. But I can say that the narrative is beautiful and flows well, the illustrations only highlight that.

A huge thank you to Pan Macmillan and Book Break for this book as part of their initiative to share more trans voices on Trans Day of Visibility. (This was a gifted book but on my TBR already!)

Trans and NB voices are so so needed in literature now as much as ever. You are seen and so valid and so loved by so many. We want you here 😘
