I’d love to be able to tell you that I’ve hit all my reading goals but I really, really haven’t. I’m quite far off in some cases. But let me share why I’m not that bothered about it..
My goals were:
Buy less than 50 books – I didn’t hit it, I ended up buying 57 new books. But I did read 36 of them, so that’s something?
Read 75 books from my TBR – Not even close. I read 48 which I’m still really happy with.
24 books in 2024 challenge – Closer than I thought at 19/24.
10 books before the end of the year (that really was 20) – couldn’t be further – 6 read.
I also set my reading goal to be 75 books and while I beat that by some way, I’m not necessarily counting it because I purposely set it lower than I read last year so I didn’t stress.
While I haven’t hit most of those goals, what I have had is a brilliant year of reading. I counted 72 books that I’d recommend and while I won’t list them here, you can see them all on the 28th on Instagram here.
I don’t know what goals I’m setting for 2025 yet, but I know that whatever they end up being, the most important thing is that I enjoy what I’m reading. And that’s definitely something I’ve managed this year.
If you like what you’ve read and would like to access more content, I’d love if you could take a look at my patreon and consider supporting my content on there too.
And don’t forget to check out my other blogs and reviews – you can find books with similar themes in the same folder link below, or click back onto blogs to see the whole offering.
