Review:
I’ve read YA my whole adult life and recently I’d been asking myself why it stopped there and why I don’t include middle grade in my reading spectrum. So here I am changing that. And where better to start than Claire Linney’s debut, Time Tub Travellers and The Silk Thief?
I really enjoyed this one. Its got important themes, fun characters and a pacy plot. It’s engaging and I absolutely would have loved having pretend adventures in a bath tub when I was younger.
Black Tudors weren’t touched on when I learnt about the time period and I love seeing this representation now, it’s so so important. I loved the historical details, it’s clearly a really well researched book and the authors passion shines through. I’ll definitely be picking up book two when it comes out!
