Review:

Three siblings make the treacherous journey out of Vietnam in the hopes of finding the American dream. What they find instead is something they never could imagined.

None of their lives turned out the way they expected for each other and their bond is tested throughout. The story follows a couple of points of view over multiple generations, flowing seamlessly.

Simply put, this book blew me away. It’s a book that has been filled to the brim with emotion and then overflows with heartbreak. So get ready for it to break you too.

Pin’s writing feels both incredibly delicate but equally heavy. Her words held such power over me and that final narrator was absolute perfection. It’s left my soul wandering around my TBR looking for another boom to astound me and I thoroughly recommend picking up a copy if you haven’t already.

Thanks again to 4th Estate for this copy I picked up at their event a few years back and have since bought the full copy and also bought for friends too!
