Review:
I’ve been through a string of brilliant YA romances recently and Henna Wars is another beauty to add to the list.
Nishat and Flávia end up working on the same idea for their businesses in school that forms a rivalry and some.. Alongside the struggles Nishat is having with her parents coming to terms with her sexuality, she really doesn’t need someone trying to steal another part of her identity too.
This book is super sweet and I really enjoyed the reading experience. It’s pacy and funny and will keep you entertained. The sisterly relationship was adorable too, we love a meddling younger sibling!
I’ve not seen many books theme appropriation so cleverly as this, the execution was well done here; an important topic delivered appropriately.
I’m thoroughly enjoying Jaigidar’s work and I’m absolutely going to keep working through their backlog.
